Carole Thurston Catering provides all types of meals, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, hot and cold buffets and three-course meals.

All tastes, dietary needs and budgets are catered for: with prices ranging from about £8.75 to £27.00 a head.

The areas I cover include Chinnor, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Henley, Beaconsfield, Cookham and Amersham. I usually work within a 20-mile radius of Chinnor, Oxfordshire – but am happy to travel further afield throughout Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey.

Complete Catering…

I can cater at the venue of your choice; from an outdoor event in a marquee in the garden to a gathering in a village hall. Hot and cold food is prepared in advance at my own premises, but suitable kitchen and cooking facilities are necessary at the venue for completing and serving hot food.

I have catered for many local organisations including The Horticultural Society, The Town Twinning Association, Women’s Institutes, residential homes, groups and businesses; celebrity cricket matches; air shows and all kinds of family gatherings and parties.

As well as using all my own tried and tested delicious recipes, I am always happy to try something new when requested. With many years of experience in catering, I am up for the challenge of perfecting any type of dish or recipe you require.

Below are some examples of the food I provide, but please note I am able to cater for any requirements you have as well as offer advice and suggestions for your own menu:

Dinners

I can provide a wide-range of home-made soups, salads and pastries for hot or cold starters;

Traditional roasts, pies, hotpots, fish and vegetarian dishes for mains;

And a mouth watering selection of homemade desserts – from the old fashioned sticky toffee pudding and treacle tart to the more exotic lemon & passionfruit pavlova and mango & white chocolate cheesecake.

Classic dishes from around the world are also incorporated into my menus.

Most of the vegetables that I use are fresh – the peelings of which contribute hugely to my compost heap!

Finger & Cold Buffets

  • A variety of sandwiches on any type of bread
  • Classics such as farmhouse sausage rolls, vol-au-vents and mini sausages
  • Modern favourites such as ricotta tartlets, blinis and Indian style nibbles
  • Novel miniature versions of popular food such as kebabs, chicken satay and Thai fishcakes
  • Home-made cakes and pastries

Themed Food

I can adapt my menus to suit your event – from a ’60s’ style disco for the 50 year olds wanting to remember their misspent youth!; a Hungarian, Spanish or German theme for the local wine circle; to an elegant mulled wine & canape reception for business groups.

Extras

Fine quality crockery, cutlery, banquet roll and napkins are supplied at NO EXTRA COST if you require and can be returned to me unwashed.
